Here is Beth in the Amish outfit she purchased at an Amish yard sale last week. The bonnet she purchased at an Amish store. If she were truly Amish she would be wearing a kapp, but they didn't sell those anywhere. I believe they do wear bonnets from time to time, however.
We saw a postcard with Amish girls on it, and one of the girls looked surprised that her picture was being taken. Beth and I joked that she probably wasn't even Amish and they told her to look surprised. So, here's Beth imitation of being surprised.

Yeah, Amish people think it's a sin to have your picture taken, so most people have actors dress up like them for pictures.
Where do you live? If it's in Pennsylvania, you could go to Lancaster County and meet some Amish people.
