The family have been told that April is not going to make it. The swelling on her brain is too severe.

April's parents are in the process of traveling to Virginia right now.

Please Pray!

Today my friend, April, had a sky-diving accident. She was tandem diving and apparently her chute did not open, and the other person fell on top of her. ***Correction*** Her chute did open, but she and the instructor got tangled before the landing. She landed underneath the instructor.*** To my understanding, she has been unresponsive and unable to breathe on her own since the accident. She is in very critical condition. April has two daughters -- Anna is 13 and Emily is 8 or 9.

Two things

Okay, I have one funny and one serious.

Serious first: If you all don't mind, would you say a prayer for my Mom's cat Shadow? I know it may sound trivial to some, but Mom loves this cat, and he's been sick for a week now. I'm hoping to get him in at the Vet this morning. She tried yesterday but they were booked. She's going to be gone all day and she was going to wait until tomorrow but he looks so pitiful this morning I told her I'd take him. He isn't eating (he's a 20 lb cat with no appetite for a week -- something's wrong!), and he just lays around. He usually goes to the woods to go to the bathroom, but now he just goes in Mom's flower bed. He's only two years old, so something has to be wrong. I'll update later.

Funny: Yesterday Ben told me he needed toothpaste. I asked him what kind and he said Aqua Fresh, and then he proceeded to read all the benefits of using this particular brand. At one point he said "it fights Plague!" Beth (laughing) said, "it's not plaGue, it's plaQue!"

So if you know of anyone with the Plague, give them Aqua Fresh!

Back to Work!

After two months of being out of work, Neal headed back today -- part-time!

It was really strange getting up with the alarm clock again, but it was good too. Six o'clock came awfully early though! But it's nice to be starting back into a routine...getting the kids up...having breakfast together. While Neal was off, we each did our own thing. We pretty much got up when we wanted to, and ate when we wanted to.

God bless you Neal as you get back into the "real world!" We love you!!!!!

Prayer Request

Hello everyone! I just wanted to ask you all to pray for Neal's blood pressure. He didn't have high blood pressure before surgery, and now he's on two blood pressure medicines (and they just increased one of them). Tonight, 3 hours after taking his PM medicine, his blood pressure was 167/95. We think it may be due to the blood thinner he's taking (I haven't checked this out though). They keep increasing his Coumadin and every time they do that, his BP increases. He does come off of the Coumadin May 28th, so hopefully we'll see improvement in his BP after that.

Other than that, he's really doing well! Thank you for your prayers!

Update on Danny

I just heard that Danny's stroke was a mild one! Praise God! While in the hospital though, he found out that he has high blood pressure and diabetes. So I guess it's a good thing something mild happened to him, so that he would find out what areas he needed help in!

Urgent Prayer Request

We just got a phone call to let us know that our good friend Danny Addair has had a stroke this evening. I don't know many details right now, but I ask that you please pray for him. I do know that his blood pressure is very elevated, as is his sugar level. His wife Donna is a dear, dear friend of mine who worked with me in our single mom's ministry at church. I tried to leave a message on her answering machine at home, but her box was already full. I'll update this when I know more.

We were struck again this evening with how powerful prayer is, and we ask that you lift up Danny right now and his wife Donna.

Update on Mike

I spoke with the aunt of Mike Branham this morning. Remember the young man who was in the 4-wheeler accident? He had surgery on Wednesday and they had him up walking yesterday! He is doing extremely well, and the doctor said he should not have any permanent eye damage. They are all so thankful, and know that they witnessed a miracle!
