Bear Alert!

That's what my mother-in-law said when she called this evening. Right before she called me a "400 lb bear" was seen across the street from us galloping through the field. I immediately went outside and called the kids in for a little while. I didn't want to take any chances. Right now they're back outside playing on the trampoline. I don't think a bear would come near all that noise! ;o)

I wonder if it's the same bear we saw two weeks ago?

I had to laugh at your first bear story! When we were in Yosemite last summer we were in an area where there were no bathrooms. I just couldn't wait to go so pulled over and my friend got out and stretched her legs while I found a tree to hide behind. About ten feet in front of me I saw a "dog" go by and panicked! Oh my gosh! Did I just moon somebody behind me? LOL I pulled my pants up and luckily I had my camera with me because sauntering by was a mama bear and what I thought was a dog was a cub. I quietly and quickly ran over to my friend and told her what was happening. By the time I got there they were too far away to get really great pictures, but still the experience was incredible. I must have been downwind from her because she did not appear to notice me. Afterwards we laughed and discussed how we should be more careful in choosing potty stops! LOL My heart was surely beating fast! :o)

Wonderful shots!
I wonder what part of Virginia you are in. I lived in Virginia for over thirty years and retired back to West Virginia where I was born.

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
