We have ten dead trees near enough to our house that we needed to cut them down. This was tree #4. It was pretty close to our trampoline, so Neal needed a bit of help to get it down in the right spot.
He used this chain to help him guide it and to get it out of the tree in which it was caught.
Down she went! Good for us, but not so good for this....
FLYING SQUIRREL! I wish the picture was better, but can you see the flap of skin between its' front and back legs? This is the first flying squirrel we had ever seen, and we definitely didn't know we had one living in our dead tree! While Neal and I were talking to each other, the kids witnessed it soaring off to another tree.
Anyone with a dead tree to rent?
