Awana Grand Prix

Last Saturday at church we had our annual Awana Grand Prix! Each car kit is five bucks, and you start out with the same size block of wood and set of wheels. Then you can let your imagination fly! There are three categories: Racing Style, Creative Style, and speed. Each grade (3rd - 6th) gets 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category. Here's a shot of most of the 3rd and 4th grade cars (they weren't all put out yet):

Here's Ben's "Batmobile." He and his Daddy worked very hard on this car and had hours of fun together! (That's the best part)

This is the track they raced on. One of the men in our church made it several years ago, and it is awesome!

Ben was so happy and surprised to get 1st place in Racing Style in the 4th grade division!

Mr. G and his friend Danny Doolittle entertained us before the race. Mr. G (a former Word of Life missionary) gave a short devotional, as well.
