He is fine!!!
After 7 hours (almost exactly) they finished surgery. We spoke with the surgeon around 4:00 and he said that everything went smoothly and as planned. No surprises! Thank you, Lord!
They were not able to repair the valve, so they replaced it with the pig "root." They also replaced the ascending aorta and the arch of the aorta. (I hope I relayed that correctly)
The nurses should be here at any time to let us see him. He will still be asleep, but it will be nice to see him!!!
